Why?

Two days after D day. Or rather, R day. R for referendum, R for rejection, R for rage, R for ….reform? Certainly, I believe, R for the regret that is to come.

As one who chose to move to France some eight years ago, I am astonished and dismayed at the result of the United Kingdom’s referendum on whether the country should stay in the European Union, or leave. This decision does not affect me directly – I am in my seventies. But it saddens me because it will affect my children and their children. I truly fear that the UK economy will suffer, but I pray truly and fervently, that I may be wrong.

God save the Queen — and God help us all!
